About the Tohu

The Tohu was designed by Kyle Ratana, representing the kaitiaki of Tikapa Moana that protects all the hapu and iwi within the Hauraki.

The triangular design on the back of the stingray represents the iwi collective. He used the blue tones to represent the strong connections to the Moana.
